SE: Welcome Rachelle!? So glad to have you here and part of the set!? Have you ever been part of a box set before?

RA: Yes, Romancing Christmas?

SE: So many cool holiday sets out, how did you get involved in this set?

RA: We batted the idea around in the Romance In A Month group in the summer. I decided to start the set with the writers in that group initially. Later we invited other authors to join.

SE: Well, personally, I’m glad you did! What did you think of the process – or what was your favorite part of the process?

RA: I wanted to write something completely new for the set and not reuse something already published. It was quite a drama to have a deadline and I worked really hard to make it happen. My favorite part is the group we’re in. We support each other and have a lot of fun chats and side conversations. Everyone was well organized and helped out in the way they could to move the team along.

SE: I agree. Tell us about your book that is in our box set:

Roaring Hot is a story combining motorcycle racing, reality shows, and Zen Buddhism. On the surface, Teo Alexiou is an arrogant playboy who gets what he wants. He meets his match in actress Amy Suzuki, a woman he hired to play his girlfriend. The fun starts when he falls for her, and suddenly, the billionaire bad boy is wishing she’d cut the act and show him her true heart.

SE: Welcome Patricia!? I know you go by PC in the writers world, but Patricia sounds so much warmer when we are talking! Have you ever been in a box set before?

PC: No this one is my first.

SE: Mine too!? How did you get involved in this set?

PC: I took Rachelle’s first Romance in a Month class back in May, and I really had the bones of a novel when we finished in June. I managed to finish it over the summer. When the call came for swoony heroes, I decided my Dean made the cut.

SE: That is very cool! Fun to be able to write a book in a few weeks! So what did you think of the process of being part of the box set?

PC: It’s been a tremendous learning curve for me because I’m working with other authors who have much more experience in marketing and doing box sets than me. I’ve been taking notes and doing what I can to help where directed.

SE: Personally, I think you have rocked it! Tell us about the book you have in the box set.

PC: Behind the Altar is about forbidden but overwhelming love. I set it in a small town in Florida, near where I lived for thirty years. I’ve always despised hypocrites, especially those who hide behind organized religion because they’ve gained the trust of a whole congregation. When the pure-hearted Leah, with her altruistic nature, is confronted with this hypocrisy, she grows into a woman and walks into the arms of her fiance’s brother, Dean.

P.C. Zick Bio:

P.C. Zick began her writing career in 1998 as a journalist. She’s won various awards for her essays, columns, editorials, articles, and fiction. She describes herself as a “storyteller” no matter the genre.

She was born in Michigan and moved to Florida in 1980. Even though she now resides in western Pennsylvania with her husband Robert, she finds the stories of Florida and its people and environment a rich base for her storytelling platform. Florida’s quirky and abundant wildlife?both human and animal?supply her fiction with tales almost too weird to be believable.

She writes two blogs, P.C. Zick and Living Lightly. She has published three nonfiction books and six novels.

Her writing contains the elements most dear to her heart, ranging from love to the environment. In her novels, she advances the cause for wildlife conservation and energy conservation. She believes in living lightly upon this earth with love, laughter, and passion.

SE: Hi Michele – I have loved working with you on this Box Set! Have you ever been part of a box set before?

MS: No. This is my first boxed set, and I?m thrilled to be a part of it.

SE: You have worked so hard! How did you get involved in this set?

MS: Through Rachelle Ayala?s Romance in a Month class. She proposed to the group that she wanted to put together a boxed set featuring hot heroes, and since I have been wanting to be part of a set, I jumped at the opportunity.

SE: So glad you did.? What did you think of the process – or what was your favorite part of the process?

MS: I?ve learned so much from the process, especially about advertising and promotion. Each of us has brought different ideas and experiences about that, so it?s been interesting to hear about what others do to promote their books and what they have had success with. I?ve also enjoyed just getting to know the other authors in the set better. Although we occasionally had some challenges in getting eleven women to come to a consensus on something?like our cover art?it?s been a great experience and I hope to work with some of you again on a future set.

SE: Tell us about your book that is in our box set:

My book is titled The Art of Love, and it?s a book I wrote for the Romance in a Month class back in May. I had hoped to finish a different book for this set, but after having major surgery in August, there simply wasn?t time so I submitted The Art of Love, which I think turned out to be a good fit for the set. It?s about a jewelry artist named Chelsea who aspires to go on the art fair circuit to sell her jewelry all around the country. Her controlling father has refused to release the inheritance her grandmother left her, so Chelsea works in a campus art gallery to earn some money. Chelsea?s a free spirit, a little rebellious, and cynical about love and relationships because of her parents? divorce. One day a sweet and sexy painter named Hayden comes into the gallery to see about displaying his work there. Sparks fly, and Hayden sets out to break down Chelsea?s walls and get her to believe in love. Is someone else conspiring to keep them apart, though?

Michele Shriver Bio
