On October 5, 2010, I started writing. I sat down and wrote my first book in about 11 weeks and it was published a few months later. I had no idea what I was doing back then, but I found an outlet for my stress and my creativity.
My first book was My Blood Runs Blue and this was the original cover. I think since this was originally published, there have been four partial rewrites and re-edits and three cover changes to.
Now ten years later, I have 58 books written. That’s over 3,600,000 words in first drafts. That doesn’t count the other five or six books that are about half way done and waiting patiently for me to finish them.
So far in 2020, I have written nine books, over half a million words, and I plan to have at least two more done this year: Huntley (Loving a Young book 3) & Finding Love in a Champagne Toast (A short story for New Years).
I know that when I told my father a couple weeks before he passed that I had finished my 58th book, he was very proud.
To celebrate my TEN YEAR Anniversary, I’m offering my first 10 BOOKS at $0.99 for 10 days! Make sure to download them to enjoy them later!
It’s been a long time coming. When Second Shield was published in November of 2013, I had every intention of writing Second Shield II and publishing it in 2014. Well, around that time is when I started to get really bust at work, (I was an active investigator at that time) and my writing was used as an escape from the drama of the job. It made sitting down and working on this novel very difficult. In early 2015, I was digging back into Second Shield and had around 12 chapters written on this when I slipped and fell in my kitchen, banging my head against the wall. I sustained a nasty concussion that kept me from writing for almost 9 months. In March of 2016, I retired from law enforcement due to my injury, and began to write full time, and that’s when Second Shield II: The Return was finally finished.
I was really concerned that I wouldn’t be able to connect with Drew & Mack after so much time, but they quickly slipped right back into place. The second book gives you another big case under investigation with a strange serial killer and the emotional follow-up on Mack and Drew. My early reviewers have all said they have cried on and off during this book, so grab your tissues!
Now, before everyone asks, Chris Carley plays a huge part in this book, and NO, at this time, I do not have a book for him. I currently have 26 other books on my writing schedule. Maybe in a few years if he starts talking to me I might, but not any time soon.
Thank you for your patience and I hope you enjoy SS2!
Mack and Drew are back, but will it be happily ever after?
