Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

As many of you know, I am a huge advocate for Domestic Violence Awareness. In my time as an author, I have written three novels dealing with the subject: Whether I’ll Live or Die, Barbara’s Plea and You’re Not Alone. Each of these books sheds light on the subject in different ways, but they all contain one specific focal point: To bring Awareness of Domestic Violence to others.

The Books

Whether I’ll Live or Die Amazon Reviewers say:

“Life changing, compelling and heartbreaking are just a few of the words I would use to describe author Stacy Eaton’s novel, Whether I’ll Live or Die. The author takes us on a compelling and life changing journey with characters Nicole and Amanda, two women whose lives are at complete opposites and yet inextricably intertwined.”

“This book had me remembering past troubles and gave me teary eyes and a lump in the throat and a tightness in my chest on many occasions. Perhaps a sad thing for me to say but it is great that there are books out there like this one publicizing the issue of Domestic Violence. These books also help victims and survivors speak out the issue and make them feel that they are not alone. “

Barbara’s Plea Amazon Reviewers say:

“Stacy Eaton has a way of writing about tough subjects that most people either gloss over or simply skip altogether. She does not pretty it up; she just writes what needs to be said. Some parts are heart-wrenching, some anger-inducing.”

“Writing about domestic violence is very hard to do, but to do so in such a realistic and awe-inspiring manner takes a lot of skill and understanding of the topic. This novel is so meaningful and so well written. It packs a huge punch (no pun intended), that just resonates with the reader immediately and never lets go.”

Early Reviews for You’re Not Alone on Goodreads:

“This is another emotional and powerful story about domestic abuse, and how victims can start a new life, knowing that there?s hope and they are, indeed, are not alone. Compared to ?Whether I Live Or Die?, this time the book?s focus is not only on the different perceptions of an abuse situation by the victims, but we also get to see the damaging long time effects of abuse in an adult person. The book has great psychological insights, emotional understanding, empathy and solid knowledge about the work of the police. It also has great romance and hope for recover. One can’t help but be entangled emotionally in each of the characters, feeling the stress that the author lavishes on their lives. Stacy Eaton delivers another heart-breaking and heart-warming drama.”

“This book is so much more than a romance. With strong compelling characters, it shows the long term impacts of domestic violence on men and women. It shows how years later a simple touch can startle and bring back memories.”

During the month of October, I will be donating a portion of my proceeds for these three books to a local domestic violence center. Whether I’ll Live or Die and Barbara’s Plea are both priced at $3.99 and $1.00 for each book sold will be donated. You’re Not Alone, which is out on pre-sale until November 10th and priced at $2.99 will have $0.50 per book donated.

Domestic Violence is no longer a topic for behind closed doors.

People need to hear it – be educated on it – and understand the signs to stop it.
