October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
As many of you know, I am a huge advocate for Domestic Violence Awareness. In my time as an author, I have written three novels dealing with the subject: Whether I’ll Live or Die, Barbara’s Plea and You’re Not Alone. Each of these books sheds light on the subject in different ways, but they all contain one specific focal point: To bring Awareness of Domestic Violence to others.

The Books

Whether I’ll Live or Die Amazon Reviewers say:
“Life changing, compelling and heartbreaking are just a few of the words I would use to describe author Stacy Eaton’s novel, Whether I’ll Live or Die. The author takes us on a compelling and life changing journey with characters Nicole and Amanda, two women whose lives are at complete opposites and yet inextricably intertwined.”
“This book had me remembering past troubles and gave me teary eyes and a lump in the throat and a tightness in my chest on many occasions. Perhaps a sad thing for me to say but it is great that there are books out there like this one publicizing the issue of Domestic Violence. These books also help victims and survivors speak out the issue and make them feel that they are not alone. “

Barbara’s Plea Amazon Reviewers say:
“Stacy Eaton has a way of writing about tough subjects that most people either gloss over or simply skip altogether. She does not pretty it up; she just writes what needs to be said. Some parts are heart-wrenching, some anger-inducing.”
“Writing about domestic violence is very hard to do, but to do so in such a realistic and awe-inspiring manner takes a lot of skill and understanding of the topic. This novel is so meaningful and so well written. It packs a huge punch (no pun intended), that just resonates with the reader immediately and never lets go.”

Early Reviews for You’re Not Alone on Goodreads:
“This is another emotional and powerful story about domestic abuse, and how victims can start a new life, knowing that there?s hope and they are, indeed, are not alone. Compared to ?Whether I Live Or Die?, this time the book?s focus is not only on the different perceptions of an abuse situation by the victims, but we also get to see the damaging long time effects of abuse in an adult person. The book has great psychological insights, emotional understanding, empathy and solid knowledge about the work of the police. It also has great romance and hope for recover. One can’t help but be entangled emotionally in each of the characters, feeling the stress that the author lavishes on their lives. Stacy Eaton delivers another heart-breaking and heart-warming drama.”
“This book is so much more than a romance. With strong compelling characters, it shows the long term impacts of domestic violence on men and women. It shows how years later a simple touch can startle and bring back memories.”
During the month of October, I will be donating a portion of my proceeds for these three books to a local domestic violence center. Whether I’ll Live or Die and Barbara’s Plea are both priced at $3.99 and $1.00 for each book sold will be donated. You’re Not Alone, which is out on pre-sale until November 10th and priced at $2.99 will have $0.50 per book donated.

Domestic Violence is no longer a topic for behind closed doors.
People need to hear it – be educated on it – and understand the signs to stop it.

Over the last few years, I have written three books that deal with domestic violence. My first story,
s of abuse, from the abusers I arrest to the victims that I attempt to protect. I see the woman who are battered, the children who are subjected to the trauma and the men who are afraid to come forward. Abuse targets no specific gender, and while all three of my stories do have women as the victims, I will in time bring to life the story of a male victim.
ive or Die was weak. Damn right she was. Once upon a time, she was a fun loving person who loved life, but her circumstances and the abuse she received, over and over again changed her. Years later, Amanda still dealt with residual effects of that abuse, even when she was in a healthy stable relationship.

Sarah – 5 Star: I loved this book. Barbara was a character that was so well written that throughout the entire book you were able to see her grow grow an abused wife to a strong woman who was able to do what she felt was was right. The book was written so well as a reader you could even feel Grey’s pain when he told Barb about how his wife betrayed him in his time of need. It was almost like you were with him at his son’s hospital bedside watching him sit there alone day after day while his wife never showed up. I loved how these two broken souls found each other and how beautifully written their story was written.
Grey is a goner for the fleeing duo. This story was heart-wrenching, to say the very least. As always, Stacy Eaton’s writing is heartfelt, knowledgeable, and helps you to understand a world you may know nothing about. I certainly didn’t. For those who have lived through it, and for those who are still living it, my heart truly goes out to you. An excellent read you won’t want to miss.
faint of heart, I am once again glad that I had the chance to read it. This book is a very emotional read (with sad but also with happy moments). This author has a way of writing that really gets you into the book and makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters. The story is touching and powerful. The writing is masterful, with vivid and often graphic details. From the total unexpected anguish that you didn’t see coming, to the bubble of hope and, finally, joy as you travel on a journey with these characters and find yourself crossing your fingers for a happy ending. A story like this sticks with you long after the last page and makes you grateful for the life you have.
