Happy Release Day to Stacy Eaton!
Barbara’s Plea is now available and is priced at $0.99 for a very limited time!
Barbara lives in constant fear of her husband. She finally summons the courage to leave with their young daughter, Allie, but dreads the moment her husband learns of their escape. In his desire to control them and bend them to his will, he will leave no stone unturned to punish them–especially Barbara.
Grey?s future seems bleak, especially the day he is fired, but everything begins to turn around the moment he absently sinks down on a bench occupied by wealthy Gloria Withers. Gloria sees something in him that no one else bothers to notice and, within moments, a friendship is sparked that will withstand many trials.
When Barbara makes good her escape and arrives on the doorstep of her grandmother, Gloria, whom she hasn’t seen for years, Barbara is greeted instead by Grey. It doesn’t take long for a different kind of spark to fly as Barbara takes up residence in the Withers mansion.
When Grey falls inexorably in love with not only Barbara, but also her daughter Allie, he vows to do everything he can to protect them from her husband who is out for revenge.

Reviews:
Sarah – 5 Star: I loved this book. Barbara was a character that was so well written that throughout the entire book you were able to see her grow grow an abused wife to a strong woman who was able to do what she felt was was right. The book was written so well as a reader you could even feel Grey’s pain when he told Barb about how his wife betrayed him in his time of need. It was almost like you were with him at his son’s hospital bedside watching him sit there alone day after day while his wife never showed up. I loved how these two broken souls found each other and how beautifully written their story was written.
Barbara’s Plea gets five out of five stars from me and a strong suggestion to read.
Amy – 5 Star: Poignant and heart wrenching, Author Stacy Eaton gives us a peek into the dark world of Domestic Abuse with her newest release. In Barbara’s Plea, we are taken down the dark path of Barbara Murphy, the wife of a prominent lawyer who abuses her on a daily basis. With the help of some friends, Barbara is able to escape with her daughter and return to her roots in her Grandmother’s home where she connects with her Grandmother’s new tenant, a woodworker named Greyson Bloodstone. One look into Barbara and Allie’s fearful eyes, and Grey is a goner for the fleeing duo. This story was heart-wrenching, to say the very least. As always, Stacy Eaton’s writing is heartfelt, knowledgeable, and helps you to understand a world you may know nothing about. I certainly didn’t. For those who have lived through it, and for those who are still living it, my heart truly goes out to you. An excellent read you won’t want to miss.
Tatiana – 4 Stars: Stacy Eaton has a way of writing about tough subjects that most people either gloss over or simply skip altogether. She does not pretty it up; she just writes what needs to be said. Some parts are heart-wrenching, some anger-inducing. The book is extremely well written.
Although the books Stacy writes are fiction, I know that there are girls and women out in the world who can relate to what she is not afraid to write about.
The characters come alive in this book. The emotion the writer is able to elicit from her characters and pass on through her words is incredible. While some parts of this book are not for the faint of heart, I am once again glad that I had the chance to read it. This book is a very emotional read (with sad but also with happy moments). This author has a way of writing that really gets you into the book and makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters. The story is touching and powerful. The writing is masterful, with vivid and often graphic details. From the total unexpected anguish that you didn’t see coming, to the bubble of hope and, finally, joy as you travel on a journey with these characters and find yourself crossing your fingers for a happy ending. A story like this sticks with you long after the last page and makes you grateful for the life you have.
